About the workshop
Body Awareness Workshop is a proposition for those who would like to better understand their bodies. By exercising in a group, in couples and individually the participants experience breakthroughs and blocks on the border between spontaneous expression of emotional and somatic impulses and the factors that systematically restrain the freedom of this expression.
The exercises used in this workshop serve both as a kind of play and an opportunity to provide profound observation. We devote a lot of time to conversations, whose purpose is to consciously arrange the meanings of what is happening during these exercises. Majority of us know complex or simple patterns that are imposed upon us and repress our life impulses. These patterns have often been secretly taking root in ourselves over the years. They may be associated with our anxieties or repressed anger. They can emerge in a form of somatic pains or chronic muscle tension. Frequently they become an obstacle that prevents us from enjoying our lives and inhibits our openness in relationships with ourselves and others.
During this workshop we cautiously respect the subtle balance between attention and safety on one hand and deepening exploration of psychological and somatic patterns on the other. The aim of our work is to search for means thanks to whom the participants can make practical use of what they learn during the workshop.
